Used Oil can be disposed of at Hughenden Transfer Site and the Landfill. Used Oil Filters can be disposed of at any manned Transfer Site and the Landfill. It is the policy of the Waste Management Authority to allow Landfill and Transfer Station Contractors to open the site during off hours upon request for a fee of $40.00. (Payable to the Waste Management Authority) This will only be done at the convenience of the contractor.

Shingles Not Accepted
Fridge/Freezer Disposal (with or without Freon removed) $30.00/Unit(Amisk Only)
Clean Burnables ONLY in burning pit No charge up to 1 tonne (larger quantities not accepted)
Loads larger than a pickup truck will NOT be accepted at the transfer sites. All residents have the option and should be encouraged to bring construction material to the Landfill where the weights can be accurately determined. Shingles will only be accepted at the Landfill will NOT be accepted at Transfer Sites.
Extra Opening (at operator’s discretion) $ 40.00
Recycling bins are available in the Town of Provost, all Transfer Sites and the Landfill for residents of the M.D., Town and Villages.
